Belonging with Park Hill Primary

Short but sweet, our second week of term kicked off with a visit from the wonderful children and staff from Park Hill Primary School. Their theme was Belonging, meaning that the tutors had a lot of scope for imaginative creating, led, of course, by the children.
Johnny P was back in the classroom – so nice to have him back delivering Music and producing a banging tune with the children; there was Big Art with an enormous Park Hill Family Tree with each of the leaves bearing the name of children, staff, support staff, volunteers and governors from the school – a real showcase of their family feeling. Drama students worked with the poem ‘Scroobius Pip’ about being different, but still feeling that you belong; and in Dance, lots of work with partners and using motifs which echoed their sense of belonging and how good it makes you feel.
The support from the visiting staff, this week, was phenomenal; they were great and we look forward to welcoming them back in two years’ time.
